How Sydney Sub Floor Ventilation collects, uses and looks after your personal information.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Sydney Sub Floor Ventilation (“we”, “us”, “our”) and to this website, sydneysubfloorventilation.sydney. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to quote, book and carry out subfloor ventilation work and to respond to your enquiries. Depending on how you deal with us, this can include:

  • Your name, phone number, email address and property address.
  • Details about your home and the problem you’ve described (for example, the suburb, the service you’re after and any notes you add to a quote form).
  • Photos or measurements taken during an on-site assessment.
  • Billing and payment details needed to invoice you.
  • Records of our communications with you (calls, emails, messages).

We do not collect sensitive information (such as health or financial history) unless you choose to give it to us and it’s relevant to the job.

3. How we collect it

Most of the information we hold comes directly from you — when you call us, fill in a form on this site, email us, or speak with our team on-site. Our website forms are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service, and delivered to us by email.

4. Why we use it

  • To contact you about your enquiry and arrange a free inspection.
  • To prepare and send quotes, book installations and carry out the work.
  • To invoice you and keep the records we’re required to keep.
  • To honour your warranty and provide aftercare.
  • To ask for feedback, including a review, after a job.
  • To meet our legal and insurance obligations.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t send marketing you haven’t asked for.

5. Website analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking to understand how people find and use the site and whether our advertising is working. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and may record your IP address, device, browser, pages viewed and the source that brought you here (for example a Google search or ad). This information is aggregated and doesn’t identify you by name. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on, and control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it’s needed to do the job or run the business:

  • Our own installers and office staff.
  • A licensed electrician where your installation requires new wiring.
  • Service providers we rely on — our form service, email, accounting and invoicing software, and website hosting (Webflow).
  • Our insurer, or legal and accounting advisers, where required.
  • Government agencies or regulators where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia (for example in the United States). We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your information in line with Australian privacy law.

7. How we keep it safe

We store information in password-protected systems with access limited to people who need it. This site is served over HTTPS. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we delete or de-identify it when it’s no longer needed.

8. Access and correction

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Call 02 9158 9955 or use our contact page. We’ll respond within a reasonable time and won’t charge you for a straightforward request.

9. Complaints

If you think we’ve mishandled your information, please tell us first and we’ll do our best to sort it out. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
